Robert Cottage, 49 a former British National Party election candidate, and school bus driver, has been sentenced today for 2yrs 6 months in jail after admitting stockpiling (mildly) explosive chemicals at his home.He has already beein in prison for 9 months, given good behaviour he should be out in 6 months.He pleaded guilty in February to the charge of possessing explosives but after 2 trials was cleared along with a co-defendent of additional charges of conspiracy to cause explosions.
His activities were brought to the attention of the Police by his bride of less than 2 years. The Forensic Scientist called by the Prosecution at the trial stated that only what could be called a "squib" could be produced from the collection of chemicals he had odered over the Internet.
