BA038's Ace pilot's action packed, fun filled life - Amazing pictures

The well publicised hero's welcome at BA HQ of twice married (to cabin crew) Captain Burkill, pilot of prematurely ended flight BA038 , and it's portrayal of the the archetypal bronzed, strong, self effacing pilot was remarkable .. and who knows, a trifle premature in advance of the official accident report..

Even more so , when fond memories with lots of ...er.. revealing happy snaps of a previous existence with Caledonian Airways of him practising belly flops in one of Rupe the Poop's scandal sheets and the fulsome picture of happy family life in a different family newspaper provide the inoccent passenger with conflicting ideas about the guys and gals who fly these beasts.

In another of Rupes Rags Richard Woods, Steven Swinford and Paul Eddy provide a first rate , legthy and detailed article of what is known so far about the puzzling prang.... reminds me of a remark of a talented young lady engineer at Rolls Royce , that an aircraft landing is really just a controlled crash.
