Geraldine Ferraro ran as Veep with loser Walter Mondale in 1984. Dubya's dad ran as Veep as well.

Feisty and very, very attractive, a 1st generation Italian immigrant, she was an advocate for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, sponsoring the Women's Economic Equity Act ending pension discrimination against women, and seeking greater job training and opportunities for displaced homemakers.

Now the smart money is that Bill Clinton devised a strategy that she, representing one minority ,calls Obama's success down just to his blackness ... and resigns. Shit sticks and Shrillary walks clear.

Paradoxically it was her husband's contacts with slum landlordism that damaged her in 1984 ... like Obama's with Rezko. Things were slightly more polite in those days and it came down to revealing tax returns which the candidate's husband Zaccaro wouldn't. Mrs Kerry - Heinz did the same and much it helped John Kerry.
