Newsnight - How they undertake in depth investigations into the number of "major terror plots" that the Prime MInister talks about

Quite a simple investigation really - here are the basics - just how many "major" terror plots are there ? If in May it was 6 and now it is 30 then it has increased 500% which is remarkable. Of course if the figure of 30 - much quoted elsewhere, is a lie, then that is of interest.

Someone calling himself Meirion rung back a short while ago. He explained that there were 2,000 people under active investigation and this is what the pM was referring to.

Explained it was good of him to translate for the PM and Government but that wasn't what PM said - he talked of major terrorist plots. That was what Blair & Quick said to MP's , that was what "advisers" with PM talked about.

Evidently not interested in pursueing how many amjor . minor plots there were / are and sawe tis just as semantic onfusion. He remains convinced 2,000 folks un UK were being actively investigated - which is not difficult to believe - the Plods in the Terrorist section must fill in their time doing something - we have over 350 in Greater Manchester alone.

Derided any idea that MI5/6/7/8/9 had infiltrated the plotters of anything - although secret services get up to all sorts.

Poo poohed the Patel plot that the 7/7 bombers were unware of the contents of their bags - they have lots of information they cannot reveal - they know what the 7/7 bombs were made of .....

Totally closed mind to anything but the official party line that the UK is simply crawling with crazed fundamentalist Muslims busy mixing Brylcreem, pepper and Lucozade in bed sits - although somehow connected with a mulit million pound funded hghly successful guerilla force in Afghanistan / Pakistan with access to military explosive etc.,

Sir Ronald Flanagan, GBE, QPM, is the Home Office Chief Inspector of Constabulary for the United Kingdom excluding Scotland. Flanagan was previously the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland since its creation in 2001 to 2002, and had been Chief Constable of its predecessor, the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) until 2001.

On Saturday 15 August 1998 a terrorist bomb exploded in Omagh killing 29 people and two unborn children. It was the worst single terrorist incident since the start of “The Troubles” in 1969.

The Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) immediately established an Omagh Bomb Investigation Team. The Chief Constable Sir Ronnie Flanagan gave a strong commitment to see that “no stone would be left unturned until we bring these people to justice”.

Nuala O'Loan the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland made a statement on her investigation of matters relating to the Omagh Bomb on August 15, 1998

The Chief Constable welcomed the Police Ombudsman’s investigation and assured it full co-operation. During the course of this investigation, it is of considerable concern that some critical information was not provided in the initial disclosures that were made to the Police Ombudsman’s Investigators.

At senior management level the response to this enquiry has been defensive and at times unco-operative.

Special Branch and the Chief Constable were reluctant to grant access to their material to Police Ombudsman’s Investigators and failed to inform those Investigators of a computer system where intelligence, vital to the investigation, was held.

There was a failure to reveal intelligence, which led to a request on 21 September 2001 fordirect access to intelligence systems in order that the Police Ombudsman could have confidence that all relevant material was made available to Police Ombudsman’s Investigators.

A hiatus in the investigation then occurred while the Chief Constable then considered this request.The Chief Constable did not agree to this request until 9 October 2001 and access was not achieved until 17 October 2001 when computers were made available for Police Ombudsman’s Investigators.

Unbelievably the lying fucker, Sir Ronald Flanagan, GBE, QPM, is STILL the Home Office Chief Inspector of Constabulary for the United Kingdom .

Anybody in public life who fails to call for his immediate removal from office is colluding in the cover up of the true authors of the Omagh atrocity.

Cousin Alex Pereira said "At the inquest we will be able to ask questions and find out the truth," he said. "(The police) have to explain why they lied and everyone will see that a crime was committed here. Whoever did this should be punished for it. 7/7 "suicide bombers" on CCTV ? .... no such luck, Police dn't want any help in tracing movements of 7/7 culprits .. leaving 56 dead 200 injured...

Here we go again. Crystal clear, sharp CCTV images in colour, published hours after the murder of Jamie Simpson ,manager of a Matalan store, in the Kingsland Shopping Centre, Hackney, East London Saturday 22nd March around 8 pm.

Now why can't we have images of the 7/7 bombers ? Surely the Police want help in tracing the "suicide bombers" ? Did anyone see them ? Did they have accomplices, were they carrying anything else, what were they wearing ... ?

If they can get these image sout so quickly why not the 7/7 images ?
