IPCC eco feak, deluded fool Chris Field misuses AAAS meeting in Chicago to purvey nonsense and lies - aided by Press / Tv and our own lovely BBC

IPCC scientist Chris Field of Stanford University and the Carnegie Institution for Science warns that global warming in the 21st century is likely to accelerate at a much faster pace and cause more environmental damage than predicted. In a contribution to the much publicised American Association for the Advancement of Science in Chicago during a symposium titled, "What Is New and Surprising Since the IPCC Fourth Assessment?"

"There is a real risk that human-caused climate change will accelerate the release of carbon dioxide from forest and tundra ecosystems, which have been storing a lot of carbon for thousands of years," said Field,.blah, blah, blah Times 14th Feb. This brought to mind the comment on some thread somewhere by a wry observer that these guys are like the guys who piss on the beach and when the tide comes in admire the results of their handiwork.

Such news reports never mention the eralier refutation of the IPCC Nbel Prize winning reports refutations this year ..eg

We pointed out that no such evidence exists and offered charts and references that refute the man-made global warming theory.

What are we measuring for Co2 content ?

It is exasprating whenfigures are published for Co2 content of the atmosphere expressed as parts per million. The atmosphere, stratosphere , troposhpere how high are we going ? How homgenous is it ? Not very judging by the way Pinaturbo volcanoe debris hung around Asia for decades

Here is a classic example of measures of earth - the area - you are lucky if many of these fugures are within 3% accuracy.

510 Mm2 Total surface area of Earth 510 Mm2 - Water 360Mm2 Land 150Mm2

US 9,629,091 (Km2) 6.5% of total Earth Land area.

UK 242,900 (Km2) 0.16% of total Earth Land area.

= Total of England (130,422 km²), Scotland (78,133 km²), Wales (20,779 km²), and Northern Ireland (13,576 km²).

Alaska the largest US State is 1,717,854 sq km - ie you could fit in 7 UK's.

Zimbabwe is 386, 669 sq km 3 times the size of England.

So we here in this septic isle feel that we affect in any demonstrable way the global atmosphere ?

Of course our world changes , always had, and the sun affects our surface temperature, always has, always will.

Unintelligent advocates - Dangerous delusions

Truth in Science is a Christian organisation who believe in Intelligent design. It is their firm and unshakeable belief that there is a intelligent design and he/she/it the Christian God.... or as they phrase it .."The theory of intelligent design holds that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection."

Professor Andy MacIntosh BSc, PhD, DSc, FIMA, CMath, FInstE, CEng, FInstP, MIGEM ,Professor of Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory, at Leeds University has signed a letter accompanying a pack of 2 DVD and other materials that seeks to refute Darwinism and the Theories of Natural Selection which has been sent to every science department in every school in the UK.

With all the personality of a ,"I speak your weight machine" Professor Tosh tells us on Newsnight (BBC 2 tonight) he is a thermodynamicist and justifies this attempt to subvert the standard curriculum . Their curious website quotes one of the great philosphers of the 20th century in support.

" Science, claimed Karl Popper (1902-94), proceeds by guesses that are continually tested, i.e. by conjectures and refutations. That is the real essence of science, not that its conclusions may be verified, but that they can be refuted. "

Regrettably these Neanderthal academics cannot understand that their "philosophy" can be refuted instantly by demanding proof of the existence of their Grand designer - God. An examination of dawkins latest opus, "The God Delusion" would help them enormously.

In the absence of proof and faced with the massive evidence of the processes of speciation , development and evolution of living plants and animals it is impossible to see why a child should spend any time examining this nonsense. Nor should any school with the pressures on teaching children about oral sex and citizenship be deflected from their efforts.

Examining their website is interesting - especially their confused (and confusing) defence of criticism of their activities and publications from Ekklesia, The British Humanists and the interest of the DfES which refutes their belief in the porcesses so lucidly explained by Karl Popper.

Meanwhile Lord Patel is preparing a dossier for circulation to schools from the "Flat Earth Society" and a course of public lectures, the first of which will be, "Why Aeroplanes cannot fly - Heavier than air machines - the cruel delusion".

The Italian Job ... spaghetti trails

Mario Scaramella a professor at the University of Naples, was a consultant to the Mitrokhin commission (1)an Italian Parliamentary commission of inquiry into KGB spy recruitment which was was headed by journalist Paolo Guzzanti - and remarkably (?) a senator from former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia and fount of wisdom and icon of probity and Truth.A surprising view of commission members was that Romano Prodi was the "Kremlin's man in the EU and Rome".


Corriere della Sera quotes Scaramella today' about Litvinov (with whom he shared the sushi) "He was killed because of everything he knew."

Adding darkly "It can all be found now in the documents of the Mitrokhin commission,"

Asked by the paper if he wanted police protection, Scaramella said: "I'm not asking for anything. But there is no doubt it was the Kremlin. And as I am the only one to have collected all his information..." He left the statement unfinished.

They also quote KGB turncoat and London resident "007" Oleg Gordievsky " Litvinov become the victim of the vendetta and the badness of these forces"(2)

The Guardian today publishes what is supposed to be the e-mails that Scaramella showed to Litvinov as he chewed on his sushi.

"All SVR (Russian foreign intelligence service) officers are sure that PG (journalist Paolo Guzzanti) and MS (Scaramella) still live closely with 'enemy No 1 of Russia' -- (self-exiled oligarch) Boris Berezovsky and his 'companion-in-arms' -- first of all A. Litvinenko," one read.

"Russian intelligence officers speak more and more about necessity to use force again PG and MS, considering their 'incessant anti-Russian activities' -- as well as against Berezovsky and Litvinenko."

Well, there you go Guv. Bang to rights. e-mail. printed off. Know what I mean. Totally unforgeable. Totally. Know what I mean. (If only we had Mrs Jowell's husband handy to put all this into flawless Italian).

Not to be outshone by Scaramella, Guzzanti breathlessly tells La Stampa : "I have no doubt that the current Russian secret services ... are behind this murder and not only this one."

"Litvinenko was their third victim.The first was general Anatoly Trofimov, former deputy chief of the FSB, who was killed in front of his house in 2005 because he was Litvinenko's superior,"The second was (journalist) Anna Politkovskaya, who had strong ties to Alexander (Litvinenko) and who had denounced the involvement of Putin's secret services in the war in Chechnya,"

Guzzanti, whose commission completed its inquiry without reaching any definite conclusions, said Litvinenko's cooperation wiht the probe "confirmed that the biggest community of Russian agents in the world lives and work in Italy".

"The Cold War has never ended," he added. "Today we are seeing a conflict between Russia and the West whose consequences are unpredictable."


(1) Vasili Mitrokhin was a KGB archivist who had access to papers which went to the heart of Soviet espionage activity during the Cold War. He defected to the UK in 1992 - The Mitrokhin commission was charged with it's re-examination due to references in the late Pope's memoirs that Leaders of the former Soviet Union were behind the assassination attempt against Pope John Paul II in 1981.

Guzzanti said the commission had photographic evidence that Sergei Antonov, a Bulgarian cleared of conspiracy at the 1986 trial, was in St Peter’s Square with Turkish gunman Mehmet Ali Agca, when the Pope was shot.Yeah.Wow.
