MP's Office Managers Declaration of Interests.

Reading of the generosity of spirit of Mr Conway MP toward his family, it occurred to me, that if MP's employ staff paid with Public Funds without the normal tireseome procedures of advertising the position , receiving CV's, inetrviewing, ensuring fairness in selection on the gronds of age, sex, disability, vetting stated qualifications, medical history where appropriate, and interviewing. (Pic of recently bugged MP with his Office Manager - actually if you look carefully it is Toni Fabuloso working undercover as Lolla Palooza)

An MP could easily ( and quelle horreur) employ a spouse, mistress, relative, gigolo who (because of the exiguous funds available to the MP to pay his industrious and apparently overworked spouses, mistresses, relatives , gigolos) seek and obtain employment by extra employment. Moonlighting maybe, say, for the Welsh Whiskey Distillers and Barfitters Guild and Trade Association who might employ said spouse, mistress, relative, gigolo to travel to far flung exotic and expensive hotels to advise on , say, bar fittings, bed comfortableness or the correct ambience for sloshing out Welsh Whisky.

Perhaps even, the employees employer, Viz: The Rt.Hon or Hon Member might join them as bag carrier, note taker, bath runner, cocktail shaker ...

Just a thought.

Difficult to believe of course .... and of course embarassing, if say, the MP's flat or London pied a terre regularly received cases of , say, Welsh Whiskey or Bar Fittings to generously distribute amongst their friends, acquaintances, and maybe even their close family.

Must remember to ask Toni Fabuloso - she seems to know a few MP's Office Manageress's

David Abrahams and the wife (?), that's the sex and lies ... where is the videotape ?

Poor old David Abrahams ( he gives his DOB variously from 1944 to 1954 - the Newcastle register of Births favours 1944) is quite partial to a bit of controversy.

He attempted to stand as parliamentary candidate for Labour in Richmond in 1992 (Ex Conservative Party leader William Hague’s seat). He presented himself as a married man (with a fantasy son) and hired a blonde divorcee to make the lie more convincing.

He was in fact single, which was a more than an oversight, he was also known to many people - his tenants as a Mr David Martin.

This , and the confusion arising, together with concerns over his business interests, led to his deselection.

There are said (in some very dubious circles) some odd , but none the less interesting photographs, videos available.

Balkan tales and bulging briefcases - Ahtisaarri is exposed ?

Murky tales of Finnish double dealing reaches us from the Bosnian news agency Focus based in Banja Luka, that the German Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), Germany's federal foreign intelligence agency, has uncovered bank accounts held by Mr Martii Ahtisaari UN special envoy for Kosovo that had received two million euros and that on at least two occasions he had received cash payments of more than 40 million euros.

Oliver Dulic, the speaker of the Serbian Parliament, has apparently called for a formal inquiry into allegations that Ahtisaari, has accepted bribes from an Albanian organised crime figure, Exhet Boria, a Kosovan Albanian who dominates heroin trade in Europe.

It is claimed that these bribes were a payment , in exchange for recommending independence for the Serbian province.

Brigadier Luke Neiman, of the BND who ran the operation, claims to have recorded conversations Ahtisaari held with an unnamed ethnic Albanian talking about a transfer of 2 million Euros into Ahtisaari's account from a Swiss bank with an account number 239700-93457-00097 that was masked by an offshore account with a code XS52-KOLER - accounts allegedly held by Exhet Boria.

Focus also alleges that German BND has records as of February 12, 2007, 6:23 a.m., where a jeep owned by the Kosovo Albanian government arrived at the building where UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari was then stationed . 2 silver coloured briefcases were handed to to Ahtisaari. Focus says the BND agents confirmed later that the briefcases were loaded with cash.

"All of this his, of course, should be looked into," said Serbia's speaker of the Parliament Oliver Dulic "and if proven true, it will throw a long shadow over the final [Kosovo] resolution."

According to the Focus, a German report has already been filed at the UN.

The Economist magazine of 18- 24 February 2006 reported that John Sawers the political director of the British Foreign Office told a group of Serbs in Kosovo earlier in the month that the Contact Group had already decided on independence for Kosovo.

Martii Ahtisaari was one of the weapons inspectors in Northern Ireland along with South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa. It would be absurd to suggest that the well funded political / criminal / gangster gangs of Northern Ireland would consider bribing such an august official...would it ?

Andrew Mawson, Jane Coussins appointed "Non-Political" Peerages ...Ho,Ho.Ho.

Tony Blair, believed to be the Prime Minister has had published today , under his signature, an op-ed piece " "Keeping universities up to the mark", in the Daily Torygraph today .

It starts ..."Today, I will launch the first national scheme ..." Note that well, "I" not "The Government" for another example of the relentless use of the personal pronoun - taken at random, see his answer at PMQ's on January 31st about GP's fanstastic salaries and reproduced on the No 10 website

Mr Blair said:

"I don't always stick up for the GPs, but this time I will. There's nothing wrong with our GPs being paid the best in Europe if they're providing the best service, and I believe they are."
"I" this, "I" that . the ...er .. President has today announced 6 new "non-political nominees" to the House of Lords. Non - Political ? Ho.Ho.Ho. At least 2 more to join the claquers in the Gubments echo chamber.

Andrew Mawson OBE is Co-founder and President of the heavily self promoted Community Action Network (CAN),has been a member of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) , he is what is known these days as a "social entrepreneur".

The PMDU is part of the Delivery and Transformation Group (DTG) in the Cabinet Office.

PMDU does this by:

* monitoring and reporting on delivery of the Prime Minister's top delivery and reform priorities
* identifying the key barriers to improvement and the action needed to strengthen delivery
* sharing knowledge about best practice in delivery and
* supporting the development of high quality PSA targets that will effectively incentivise
improvements in public services.

Which sounds like burnishing the Public Image of the President Dear Leader

Gorgeous, pouting, raven haired temptress, Ms Jean Coussins served as the Chief Executive of The Portman Group from 1996 to 2006. They say on their website that they were set up in 1989 by the UK's leading drinks producers, which together supply the majority of the alcohol sold in the UK. They are supported financially by the Home Office and Tessa Jowell Alcoholics Fan club ...

Her role involved bringing together the alcoholic drinks industry, the government and the health sector to reduce the misuse of alcohol and promote sensible drinking. She currently sits on the Council of the Advertising Standards Authority and works as an independent consultant, advising on issues such as corporate responsibility and self-regulation.

It may be of interest to look ar The Guradian report on Tuesday January 18, 2005 - in an article by Alastair Hetherington about 24 hour drinking ...

" Martin Plant, professor of addiction studies at the University of the West of England, in Bristol, a leading authority on alcohol abuse, said yesterday that academics and health professionals were increasingly concerned at the culture department's stand.

He cited the department's role in the appointment of Jean Coussins, chief executive of the Portman Group - an organisation directly funded by the liquor industry to promote "responsible drinking" - to the Alcohol Education and Research Council, a quango. "We were appalled and horrified by this," he said.

The department said last night that, as part of its statute, the research council had to include industry representatives.

"We did not get a nomination from the industry so Jean Coussins was appointed. She is not part of the industry, but head of a body which oversees the industry."

Ms Coussins acknowledged objections to her appointment had been made in the specialist magazine, Addiction. "The important point is that the Portman Group does not sit on the council, an individual called Jean Coussins does," she said." Yeah, Yeah ... "We did not get a nomination from the industry."

She is also a member of the Better Regulation Commission announced by the Gubment in the 2005 Budget to, " provide independent advice to government, from business and other external stakeholders, about new regulatory proposals and about the Government's overall regulatory performance."
