POLICE call Stockwell Tube execution a "Tragedy"

BBC Online
The statement reads: "We believe we now know the identity of the man shot at Stockwell Underground station by police on Friday 22nd July 2005, although he is still subject to formal identification.

"We are now satisfied that he was not connected with the incidents of Thursday 21st July 2005.

"For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets."

The statement confirmed the man was followed by police from a house in Tulse Hill that was under surveillance.

His death is being investigated by officers from the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards, and will be referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. (after a very, very long time no doubt)

No further details were available about the victim of the public execution.

As you say, "Public Execution." Shameful. I hope they throw the book at this Bruce Willis wannabe, the poor fellow's executioner. The British state owes a public apology and an indemnity to the family as well as to anyone who has the misfortune to witness the execution.

We are now satisfied that he was not connected with the incidents of Thursday 21st July 2005.

Satisfied? Makes me weep--what a miserable choice of words.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the use of the word 'satisfied' either

We’ve been hearing a lot lately about how British police have been taking instruction from Israeli security specialists on how to deal with the threat of domestic terror; including the 'tactic' of shooting prone suspects repeatedly in the head. Fantastic, what an absolutely top notch idea. Those guys have really got the suicide bomber threat under control haven’t they. Yeah, let’s copy them...

By the way, can we have Ian Blair's head on a platter, please? He falsely claimed for 24 hours that Jean Charles de Menezes was "directly connected" to the 21 July bombings. 24 hours! Just like the Aznar government falsely accused the ETA for the 11 March. Atocha bombings.
