The BBC reports that a man called David Kirk, describing himself as David Mills's solicitor says that Mr Mills and Miss(sic) Jowell are to separate.

"They hope that over time their relationship can be restored, but, given the current circumstances, they have agreed a period of separation."

Let's hope he remembers to tell her.
