Tesla is an unremarked genius and was a great visionary, alternating currents and electric power transmission being his most important concerns - without which we would not have distributed pwer systems we rely on today. He contributed to other areas as well such as research and development of turbines, remote control, lighting, lasers, application of high frequency currents in medicine, research of x-ray instruments, etc. described in 112 patents of the US Patent Office as well as in numerous other documents.
St. George Serbian Church, Niagara Falls, Ontario has successfully negotiated and secured a World destination site, of an outstanding design, for the establishment of a significant monument to Nikola Tesla within Queen Victoria Park. The Nikola Tesla Memorial is scheduled to be unveiled at Niagara Falls on Sunday, July 9, 2006 marking the 150th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's birth. (Which UNESCO wants to call Nikolas Tesla Day)
