Polish Plumbers ...we got Polish MP's now Guv !

Under the insane, arcane, impenetrable Rules of the House of Commons Daniel Kawczynski (pronounced kav - chin - ski)- Conservative Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury & Atcham gets to read a Private Members Bill - i.e he gets 1/2 hour to talk about Congestion charging just before a drum roll of Ministers take the credit for pumping up pay for Public Employees.

Danny Boy is outraged that the Gubment might attempt a trial run of a charging scheme in beautiful county town of Shrewsbury and his electors don't like it.

Horse riding, golfist, polylingual son of Polish wartime immigrants, Daniel set up an All Party Parliament Group for Dairy Farming in April 2006 to get " for a fairer deal for dairy farmers in the UK" The supermarkets pay less for milk now (16p per litre is the alleged price which is less than the alleged costs of 21p per litre - which sells at say 40-55 p in the supermarket.

Danny Boy has just launched his online petition calling on the Minister for Transport to abandon proposals for drivers to be charged for entering Shrewsbury town centre -
www.daniel4shrewsbury.co.uk

“Because of the fury of local residents and business owners, I will be addressing the Government and will be asking the Minister for Transport to intervene to overturn proposals that people should be charged for driving into our town centre,” .

“I am adamant that Shrewsbury will not be a guinea pig for the Government’s controversial plans to introduce Congestion Charging into town centres nationwide,” he added, “because it would simply devastate our town centre and drive shops, businesses and tourists out of Shrewsbury.”
Sounds like a good egg - one to watch .... although the plea for the poverty stricken farmers of Shropshire falls on deaf ears in the Patel perliues - a previous Conservative Prime Minister WSC said.."There is no better investment for a nation than putting milk into babies" - his successor the Iron Maiden of course acheived some notoriety by reversing that sound policy and became Thatcher - Milk Snatcher.
