Ford Motor Company Premier Automotive Group have after 12 months finally entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Aston Martin business. They first bought 75% of the company in 1987 and the remainder in 1993 ;
Headed personally by shy retiring, David Richards, chairman and chief executive of Prodrive ,although Prodrive are not involved in the deal , however they will still run the Aston Martin Racing team in international sports car series events, including the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Investment Banker John Sinders, an extravagant and flamboyant Aston Martin collector from Dallas, and a backer of Aston Martin Racing.
Investment Dar & Adeem Investment Co, 2 international investment companies headquartered in Kuwait Adeem managing director and chief executive officer is Mustafa E. Al-Saleh. His company were major promoters of the World Islamic Finance & Investment Conference just held in Kuwait, March 4th - 5th.
The transaction is said to value Aston Martin at £479 million ($925 million). As part of the transaction, Ford will retain a £40 million ($77 million) investment in Aston Martin.
