Hiding from your war crimes in the Catholic church won't save you Mr Bliar. You still have the blood of thousands of Iraqi's on your hands and it won't wash off, ever!

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. (Luke 15:7)

So has the homicidal psychopath gained a glimpse of conscience and repented the million or more deaths he has caused?? If so, I think we should be told and if not, then he should be promptly excommunicated and Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor should be spending some time on Craggy Island.

I recall that Cardinal Ratzinger was opposed to OIF before the campaign and Pope Benedict (spot the difference) has continued this postion.

A Vatican spokesman said such an "authoritative personality" choosing to join the Catholic Church "could only give rise to joy and respect". This shows just how out of touch the Catholic Church is and how far it will stoop to promote itself. The Catholics I know feel absolute repugnance. For Catholics repentance brings absolution. The question would be whether or not Blair actually considers his role in the Iraqi war was wrong. The survival of the West including Christianity is dependent on oil/gas supplies so if a million Moslems get slaughtered and maimed, it is the necessary price. In promoting his conversion the Catholic heirarchy are being seen to condone Blair's barbaric deeds which are not only confined to Iraq and Afghanistan but here in the UK where many innocent people have been imprisoned to conceal the government's illegal financial activities.
