35-year-old LaTonya Jones was shot dead in her Eastside home at 9.00 am on Wednesday morning with her 4-year-old son and two nieces and a nephew nearby.
LaTonya Jones' death was the city's 11th homicide in 10 days.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police blame an argument over a man for the shooting and arrested Sherri Ferrell, 45, hours after the incident.
