"“We have lent a huge amount of money to the U.S. Of course we are concerned about the safety of our assets. To be honest, I am definitely a little worried.” "

Chinese premier Wen Jiabao 12th March 2009

""We have a financial system that is run by private shareholders, managed by private institutions, and we'd like to do our best to preserve that system."

Timothy Geithner US Secretary of the Treasury, previously President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.1/3/2009

Gordon Brown is mad. Official.

“This is not about the abstract language of communiques, but real issues that affect people’s daily lives. By the actions we take, savings are safe, people will be able to keep their jobs, they will not lose their homes in all or (sic) our countries.”

The Dear Leader at a Press Conference at the British Embassy in Washington, hailing .." the “historic” agreement at the G20 summit to push ahead with reforms aimed at reversing the current global economic downturn."

Fresh from admiring Hank the Bank's chutzpah we must turn our attention to Gordon. Whose beliefs are so self evidently untrue ;

1. Savings are safe
2. People will keep their jobs
3. People will not lose their homes

Perhaps these points could be printed on a handy little card adorned with a red rose to remind us all of the perpetual economic miracles that Gordon has wrought.

It first became evident that Mrs Margaret Thatcher was clinically insane when she was seen stabbing litter in St. James's Park for the assembled press in March 1988 .... it is clear that Gordon has also turned the corner.

"Mrs Margaret Thatcher was clinically insane"

This is true she is insane...Michael Winner the film film director and a friend of Thatcher said so in an interview. People thought he was kidding then he said NO NO she is insane. Members of her cabinet in interviews given a few years ago also said she was insane and had been all the time she was Prime Minister this was never more evident then when she ordered the sinking of the Belgrano and when she brunt off 20/25 years supply of north sea gas for the UK into the atmosphere as she didn`t want to spend the money to store it that was to be used for tax cuts so she could get elected again...Totally insane.

I should have added that the Norwegians did spend the money to store their north sea gas and are now selling it to us in our hour of need and making a vast profit. That pipeline to Norway cost us a fortune. A case of chickens coming home to roast.Also at the time she done this people were BEGGING her NOT to do it she was told we would need that gas in the not to distance future. I will to my dying day remember what she said outside No 10 when she came out to tell us she was going to burn it off (was it ever in any doubt)..."I have agonised over this but it is the best thing to do"... The women was/is totally insane.

"Nationalise the Power Companies"

"A report released yesterday (14 Nov) by watchdog Consumer Focus revealed that energy companies are making over half a billion pounds extra profit from charges on pre-payment meters to their poorer customers. Customers with debts are being forced to accept the meters at a rate of 1,000 new customers per day. Despite their claims that the charges are to cover the costs of operating the meters, the watchdog has estimated that the companies earn #550M on top of the running costs of meters."...
