US Corn / ethanol industry - a quick overview

This graphic from the New York Times today provides a quick overview of the industry ..the article reviews the effects of the recent bad weather in the mid west corn growing states.


Federal and other subsidies to the corn growers and ethanol refiners should total $12 billion this year, according to estimates by Barclays Capital. ...but then you can't believe their parent company's balance sheet either.
