'bama's Civilian National Security Force gets a bit nearer - AIPAC star Leibermann keeps Homeland Security Committee Chairmanship
Renewing American Leadership by Barack Obama -From Foreign Affairs, July/August 2007 Journal of Foreign Relations , "... we need to commit sufficient funding to enable the National Guard to regain a state of readiness."
Senator Joseph Lieberman (darling of AIPAC) will keep his chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, after a vote in the Democratic caucus voted 42-13 , despite his support of the Republican presidential bid of Senator John McCain.
Rahm Emanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff appointee, talked to NY Daily News reporter Ben Smith in 2006 about his mandatory civil service plan. The idea was detailed in Emanuel's co-authored book, The Plan.This Socialist National Civilian Security Force is exactly what Obama was talking about on the stump this year.
This is mix of Rahm Emmanuel talking about his "Plan" and Obama on the stump talking about his Civilian National Defense Force.
Text of Rahm's remarks available here
Here is Obama talking about his Civilian National Security Force ;
