Kadish, Pollard, van Anraat and how Uncle Sam (AKA Bechtel et al) provided Saddam with his WMD plant

Rafi Eitan, a former agent with Israel's Mossad spy agency and now a Minister in the Israeli Government used to run an outfit called the Scientific Relations Office.

Yossi Yagur used to work for this shadowy intelligence agency, although he was also an employee of Israeli Aerospace Indusries - he was also the conduit for information from Jonathan Pollard - and now lives in retirement in Tel Aviv.

At the same time he was also in contact with Ben Ami Kadish, a Connecticut born U.S. citizen who worked at the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center at the Picatinny Arsenal who was arrested in April 2008.

Between 1979 and 1985 for (he says) a few family dinners and the odd small gift he let Yagur photograph documents he provided which included information about nuclear weapons, a modified version of an F-15 fighter jet and the U.S. Patriot missile air defense system.

Yagur along with Ilan Ravid (his counterpart at the Israeli Embassy in Washington) was recalled by Israel in November 1985. Neither has returned to the United States. The government alleges Kadish kept in contact with the Yagur until last month, when Yagur instructed Kadish to lie to investigators. He had also in 2004 visited Israel to meet Yagur.

Now 85 and living in New Jersey, Kadish pleaded guilty only to one of the four charges of conspiracy he originally faced during his trial in Manhattan (complaint):

1. Conspiring to disclose documents related to the national defense of the United States to the Government of Israel
2. Conspiring to act as an agent of the Government of Israel
3. Conspiring to hinder a communication to a law enforcement officer
4. Conspiring to make a materially false statement to a law enforcement officer.

Kadish, who is said to be in bad health, is relying on an alleged promises that the US government will not seek imprisonment at his February sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Iris Lan said prosecutors promised only that they would not oppose or challenge a sentence that included no prison time.

Kadish confessed to FBI agents that he had given Yagur between 50 and 100 classified documents .

Outside the Manhattam court of Judge Douglas F. Eaton on Tuesday, Kadish, asked if he was hopeful the spy case was over, said, "I hope so."

Alon Pinkas, Israel's former New York consul, said in April the charges against Kadish were probably raised after all this time to prevent the release of Pollard, whose case remains a blot on otherwise close relations between the countries - and for which a powerful lobby has been at work to obtain the departing President's pardon.

This brings the story behind Pollard's spying up to date and the puzzle over why Caspar Weinberger was so resistant to his release - and the reason is given in the title..

It seems from the above article that in about 1981 (when they had bombed the Iraq Osirak reactor) the Israelis approached American military intelligence regarding something going on in Samarra they thought was suspicious.

According to Pollard, he learned that Casper Weinberger, then-secretary of defense, had "assured them that nothing was going on." Pollard discovered (this was before his personal decision to spy for Israel) that there was, in fact, a chemical weapons plant under construction there, he asked his superiors at Naval Intelligence why the U.S. had not informed Israel. One of them quipped that "Jews are sensitive about gas."

Pollard learned as well that Bechtel – the American construction giant for which Weinberger had served as general counsel and for which then-Secretary of State George Shultz had served as CEO – was facilitating the construction of the plant through a number of different companies. The firms were camouflaging it as a "dual-use facility that could be explained away as a fertilizer plant."

"How much fertilizer does Iraq need?" Pollard asks today in his cell at Butner, N.C correctional facility.

According to Pollard, the plant cost "hundreds of millions of dollars to build" and required waivers from the Department of Defense and the State Department.

The secrets about this plant probably lie in a court file that Pollard's pro bono lawyer, Eliot Lauer, a highly respected litigator specializing in white-collar crime and Securities and Exchange Commission civil suits at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle has tried hard to have access to for preparing a case for clemency to President Clinton.

112. On November 13, 2008, ROD BLAGOJEVICH talked with JOHN HARRIS (his Chief of staff).

ROD BLAGOJEVICH said he wanted to be able to call “[President-elect Advisor]” and tell President-elect Advisor that “this has nothing to do with anything else we’re working on but the Governor wants to put together a 501(c)(4)” and “can you guys help him. . . raise 10, 15 million.” ROD BLAGOJEVICH said he wanted “[President-elect Advisor] to get the wordtoday,” and that when “he asks me for the Fifth CD thing I want it to be in his head.” (The reference to the “Fifth CD thing” is believed to relate to a seat (Rahm Emanuel's) in the United States House of Representatives from Illinois’ Fifth Congressional District.

Prior intercepted phone conversations indicate that ROD BLAGOJEVICH and others were determining whether ROD BLAGOJEVICH has the power to appoint an interim replacement until a special election for the seat can be held.).

113. Also on November 13, 2008, ROD BLAGOJEVICH talked with Advisor A. ROD BLAGOJEVICH said he wants the idea of the 501(c)(4) in President-elect Advisor’s head, but not in connection with the Senate appointment or the congressional seat. Advisor A asked whether the conversation about the 501(c)(4) with President-elect Advisor is connected with anything else. ROD BLAGOJEVICH replied that “it’s unsaid. It’s unsaid.”

114. Later on November 13, 2008, ROD BLAGOJEVICH spoke with Advisor A. ROD BLAGOJEVICH asked Advisor A to call Individual A and have Individual A pitch the idea of the 501(c)(4) to “[President-elect Advisor].” Advisor A said that, “while it’s not said this is a play to put in play other things.” ROD BLAGOJEVICH responded, “correct.”Advisor A asked if this is “because we think there’s still some life in [Senate Candidate 1]potentially?” ROD BLAGOJEVICH said, “not so much her, but possibly her. Naturally anxious newsmen are keen to identify the names / faces behind all those pseudonyms - especially “[President-elect Advisor].”

Rahm Emanuel was uncharacteristically absent from Obama’s news conference this morning but was spotted 2 hours later in the lobby of Chicago’s City Hall. He was there to listen to his two children performing in a concert with their school, Anshe Emet.

Keen to take the opportunity to eliminate Rahm as the “[President-elect Advisor]” named in the indictment a Chicago Sun Times reporter asked him whether he was the go-between named in the criminal complaint.

“You’re wasting your time,” Emanuel the famed communicator said. “I’m not going to say a word to you. I’m going to do this with my children. Dont do that. I’m a father. I have two kids. I’m not going to do it.” The reporter persevered and asked, “Can’t you do both?” Emanuel replied, “I’m not as capable as you. I’m going to be a father. I’m allowed to be a father,” and he pushed the reporter’s digital recorder away.

Obama said this morning that none of his staff has had a hand in any dealmaking on his Senate replacement.

At the press conference this morning Obama said his staff will release the list of contacts they had with Blagojevich ...er .... "in the next few days."

Obama insisted that at no time did any of his staff or emissaries make any offers or deals to get an Obama friend appointed. He said ;

I have never spoken with the governor on this subject, and I am quite confident that no representatives of mine would have had any part in any deals related to this seat.

Which is difficult to square with the FBI indictment.....

104. On November 11, 2008, ROD BLAGOJEVICH talked with JOHN HARRIS about the Senate seat. ROD BLAGOJEVICH suggested starting a 501(c)(4) organization (a non-profit organization that may engage in political activity and lobbying) and getting “his (believed to be the President-elect’s) friend Warren Buffett or some of those guys to help us on something like that.” HARRIS asked, “what, for you?” ROD BLAGOJEVICH replied, “yeah.”

Later in the conversation, ROD BLAGOJEVICH stated that if he appoints Senate Candidate 4 to the Senate seat and, thereafter, it appears that ROD BLAGOJEVICH might get impeached, he could “count on [Senate Candidate 4], if things got hot, to give [the Senate seat] up and let me parachute over there.” HARRIS said, “you can count on [Senate Candidate 4] to do that.”

Later in the conversation, ROD BLAGOJEVICH said he knows that the President-elect wants Senate Candidate 1 for the Senate seat but “they’re not willing to give me anything except appreciation. Fuck them.”

Chicago's First Lady, Patricia Blagojevich heard on Fed's wiretaps of her husband

Since we named Jesse Jackson Jnr as candidate 5 in Rod Blagojevich auction of Mr Obama's Senate seat on Tuesday, December 09, 2008 -Rod Blagojevich AKA soon to be Rod "canary" Blagojevich arrested, charged and in custody the MSM have followed our lead. What we didn't follow up was the fact that with the Chicago Royal Family, the Blagojevich's , like the Clinton's you get a twofer ... talk of Rod and Patricia is rarely far behind.

It is evident that a close reading o fthe fed's 76 page indictment shows that Pat was busy helping her ambitious husband in hatching a plan to sell President-elect Barack Obama's old U.S. Senate seat. She angled to trade her husband's power for lucrative spots on corporate boards. And she unleashed an obscenity-filled tirade suggesting Tribune Co. ownership should "just fire" Chicago Tribune editorial writers if the company wanted the state to help it unload Wrigley Field to ease its crushing debt.

"Hold up that ******* Cubs ********," she is quoted as saying in the background as her husband talked on the phone, authorities alleged. " **** them."

Patricia Blagojevich, 43, has not (yet) been charged with wrongdoing.

The affidavit also alleges she participated in a two-hour conference call (!) last month in which she, hubby Rod and his aides and cronies discussed selling Obama's seat in exchange for place for her on paid corporate boards. Patricia Blagojevich suggested she would be qualified for such positions because she has a background in real estate and appraisals, while the governor stated that he hoped she would pull in at least $150,000 annually to alleviate the family's "financial stress."

Chicago newspapers have reported that tax records show that in 2007, the Blagojevich family’s income dropped nearly 20%, to US$214,580 in combined wages. (He earns US$177,412 as governor.)

During this epic call, the governor mulled appointing himself to the Senate seat and a major concern was that it would be easier for his wife to become a lobbyist.

Patricia is a tough lady - missing out on her hubby's bail hearing Tuesday, and grew up as the daughter of longtime ward boss Ald. Richard Mell (33rd), so was aware at an early age to the bruising world of the Chicago Machine. Politics runs in the family of course and Pat's sister, Deborah Mell, a gay rights activist, was elected a state representative in Illinois last month. Wikipedia says that, Mell announced she would run in the special election to replace Rahm Emanuel, who will be resigning from the US House of representatives, to serve as President Obama'sWhite House Chief of staff. (The Hill) Her brother in law , Governor Blagojevich has 120 days from Emanuel’s resignation to set the special election and primary dates.

Patricia Blagojevich fell out with her dad when he accused her hubby of pay-to-play politics in 2005, but had been briefly reconciled after her mother's death 2 years ago. Despite their chilly relationship in recent years, Mell expressed concern for his daughter on Tuesday—but showed little concern for his son-in-law.

"My main concern right now is for my daughter and my grandchildren(Amy and Annie). That's all I want to say right now" the Chicago Tribune reported him saying.

The First Lady of Chicago , a graduate in economics from the University of Illinois, continued to work as a real-estate agent (River Realty) until a federal investigation into her hubby started revving up .

She has championed popular liberal causes such as literacy, children's health care and public breast feeding. In 2005 Illinois became the first state in the nation to offer affordable, comprehensive health insurance for every uninsured child through the All Kids Health Insurance Program. Patricia has been an outspoken advocate and served as a spokesperson and key partner for All Kids, working with schools and hospitals across the state to pre-register families in this landmark program.

She also created the State Beautification Initiative. Through this initiative, thousands of native wildflowers have been planted along state roadways.

Patricia has however continued to work in her own real-estate business until a federal investigation into her hubby started overheating.

The first lady's once-lucrative real estate career suffered after her most famous client, Antoin "Tony" Rezko, was convicted on political corruption charges. Apparently she earned more than $700,000 in commissions on other deals after her husband began raising money in 2000 for his first gubernatorial campaign.

Of those commissions, the Chicago Tribune found more than three-quarters came from clients with connections - which may be the cause of her recorded hostility to Chicago Tribune editorial writers .

As commissions faded, she started up as an investment banker. She touted her ability to land state business upon her hiring with a local banking house, but those deals never materialized and she soon left.

In September, she began working as a full-time fundraiser for the Chicago Christian Industrial League—a job she obtained after a longtime political ally of the governor talked to the director of the very well established non-profit homeless agency.

A spokeswoman for the agency told s that Patricia Blagojevich still worked at the agency. Period.

This was an everyday story of a glamorous, attractive Asian, super fit, lissome, ex model, airline hostess, mother of a nine year old, who had committed a minor fraud of claiming on an insurance policy claiming she was outof work when she wasn't and had embezzled £1,327.21 by making false statements .... There are some contemporary remarks on Police Specials which are (with hindsight) of interest. Fit young lady too, came 19th in RIBBLE VALLEY 10K ROAD RACE 30th December 2001. The daughter of a UN diplomat, it was claimed she was depressed and had undergone unsuccesful fertility treatment with a partner who had left..although she had a daughter already. The fraud she undertook pre-dated her time on the Police and she resigned on June 30th, the day after her arrest and four months after the happy photo-op.

However top cop Todd was not only shagging her , he had left the Met behind and also Julia Wortley, 43 a detective chief inspector, who was based at Colindale police station in North-West London. Their relationship is understood to have continued until she joined Hertfordshire police as a superintendent in 2003.

Miss Nagulapalli, has moved to Australia, she still rents out her home in Chorley which the Mail says she shared with a married Chief Insopector called Ross (who he ? ED.) . Now living in Brisbane, she insisted this week: "The suggestion there was an affair between us [her and Mike Todd] is absolute rubbish."

Funny thing is that MI5 /6/7/8 have a habit of recruiting glamourous, attractive Asian, super fit, lissome, bright, intelligent people in their late 20's and early thirties. Sounds as though it might fit the highly mobile , but evidently UK based Miss Nagulapalli. Perhaps she should pop an application form in the post ... unless of course she doesn't need to.

It is of interest that Miss Nagulapalli was represented by expensive lawyer Emma Edhem of the South Eastern Circuit and a Tenant of Richard Ferguson's Chambers, 9 Carmelite Street London EC4Y 0DR whose list of clients defending some pretty nasty charges leads like the who's who of people traffickers, fraudsters, rapists, and death merchants in old people's homes.

To trouble this highly effective barrister to come to Preston in a case involving fraud of £1,372.71 to which she pleaded guilty - she was after all bang to rights - she was of course living with a Police Inspector at the time called Ross - would cost a lot of money.

The Asian Babe got 200 hours community service and had to pay Crown costs of £2,084.71, so all in all a pretty expensive day in court. Bit expensive extravagant for a probationary Plod don't you think ?

Unless someone else was paying the bills ? or someone who had good contacts in London to pick one of the top criminal defence briefs in London ? ...

All this of course is total bollocks.

One of our policemen was missing - now we know he is dead. Did he fall ? ..... Or was he pushed ?

Chief Constable Michael Todd took the responsibility to investigate the possibility that planes rented by the CIA which had transited the UK and stopped at airports nationwide on over 300 instances were carrying people for rendition elsewhere - he wrote to Ex - Home Office lawyer Ms Shami Chakrabarti of Liberty on the 5th June 2007 which was received on 8th June - by extraordinary coincidence the day that Senator Dick Marty issued the Council of Europe’s official report finding European collusion with extraordinary rendition and blanket “overflight clearances” for US military flights after 19 months of investigations.

This was not, we must remind ourselves, in any way an official enquiry, he was not empowered to seek out evidence or witnesses, no crimes had been reported or recorded, no Minister had officially sanctioned such an enquiry, it had not been approved by anybody. ACPO has no legal authority to sanction any such enquiry. Indeed the letter he wrote to doe eyed media star Sami, was on Greater Manchester Police notepaper.

"On behalf of ACPO, " Mr Todd wrote, " I agreed to look at the issues. None of the airports involved are located within my own police area and, consequently, I was able to look at the issues with a degree of independence." Ho.Ho.Ho.

"UKIS and HMRC’s respective interests in General Aviation Reports relate to identifying risk in relation to passengers declared on the form and on movement of prohibited and restricted smuggled goods. Passengers who remain on board an aircraft that lands on UK soil, for example to refuel, are regarded as airside transit passengers and not normally subject to immigration or customs control unless they seek to enter the UK. Both Services firmly point out that if their staff suspected that passengers were being transported illegally or in breach of their human rights, this would be passed to the relevant authority – most likely the Police in the first instance."

"I am encouraged by the reassurances from my colleagues in HMRC and UKIS about the action their staff would take if they thought that these offences were being committed at a UK airport. I can add that police officers would take such allegations made to them, whether from UKIS, HMRC or any other source seriously and take appropriate action including boarding aircraft, if necessary, to investigate."

It appears that no aircraft were boarded, or if they were Chief Constable Todd had not discovered any evidence that they had.

Mind you, he didn't spend a lot of time or effort in looking. Or did he ?

Perhaps Mr Todd had a very troubled mind when set out alone on his walk on Snowdon in some of the worst weather for many years - it is unclear whether he set out on the Saturday / Sunday or the Monday . (It now appears(WEd aftrenoon) it was Monday but this is not certain) Perhaps Mr Todd had a very troubled mind when we are told he leapt off that cliff on Snowdon, scattering letters to be carried away on the 100 mph winds. Then because of the impossibility of using a helicopter being carried on a bruising and lengthy stretcher journey down the mountain which must make any examination of his wounds a difficult problem.

His colleagues at GMP only became aware he was missing on Monday afternoon (Daily Telegraph today)- he was due with others at the Home Office on Tuesday morning - and raised the alarm, it was not until Tuesday afternoon his body was discovered by the Mountain Rescue Team. No news yet of the heroic walkers, or their pictures, or their names, or why they were out there in that dreadful weather, or why the personal items were 200yds away, or why they hadn't blown away, or why they looked.

I find it odd that no one in that group of walkers spoke to, or was spoken to by, anyone in the media or, as far as we know, the police. Was even their nationality ever revealed?"

At approximately 8:47 p.m., TEMEKA RACHELLE LEWIS,a/k/a "Rachelle," the defendant, using the 6587 Number, received a call from Client-9. During the call, Client-9 told LEWIS to tell "Kristen" to go to the hotel and go to room 871. (Spitzer had booked the room under the name of George Fox, one of his donors) Client-9 told LEWIS that the door would be open. Client-9 told LEWIS that there would be a key in the room, but the door would be ajar.
LEWIS asked if the hotel staff might pass by the door and close it, and Client-9 said no it was okay. Client-9 explained that the door would not be visibly open, but if someone pushed it, the 4 door would open. LEWIS told Client-9 that his balance was
$2,721.41, and that if he wanted to do an additional "150OU or even "2000" it would be better. Client-9 said that he did not know if he could get to a machine to do that, but he would see. LEWIS said that 'Kristen" would go directly to room ,871."

Good news for the Lady Dame Jane Baroness Pauline Neville Jones Fan Club - they have insinuated another spook into the Conservative fold - this time as the Chairman of the Scottish Tory Party - not that under the frightful Mrs Annabel Goldie there are many of them left.

Andrew (call me "Andy" ) Fulton, 64 is an ex (?) MI6 operative , who was in a long and no doubt distinguished career , "attached" to various embassies over the last 30 years. He was "seconded" (trans. imposed) from Washington to his alma mater , Glasgow University's school of law to "help" the Lockerbie Trial Briefing Unit *** give impartial advice to the world's media.Ho.Ho.Ho.

However his pompous and conceited adoption of the title "Professor" has rebounded on him and he is exposed in the Herald today in peddling himself under this adopted title dishonestly - Proudfoot Consulting, a firm which lists Professor Fulton an adviser, as does the website of edoMidas, a company that has him as its non-executive chairman, and as "Prof R A Fulton" on the site of the Scottish North American Business Council, which he chairs.

The Herald quotes a spokesman for the university : "Mr Fulton is not associated with the University of Glasgow's law school and is not entitled to call himself a Professor."

Fulton himself said: "We need to emphasise to people that voting Conservative is equally important in Scotland as in the rest of the UK. When I was growing up the Conservative presence in Scotland was strong. I see no reason why we cannot aspire to building towards that again."

Perhaps he should also emphasise that telling the truth is " equally important in Scotland as in the rest of the UK"

It will be interesting to see what emendations are made to the websites to put the record straight.

Which takes us to the fascinating Mr Talat Othman is who is president of the founding committee of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) and who gave two political campaign contributions to Obama for Illinois: 6/30/03 - $1,000 and 5/22/04 - $1,723.. amongst many others including Jesse Jackson Jnr. and Dick Gephardt . Talat was also involved in George Bush's Harken Energy to represent the interests of Abdullah Taha Bakhsh on the Board.

Cressida Dick and the Common Purpose network - early days

Paul Gapper works as a Detective Inspector within the Diversity and Citizen Focus Directorate of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).

Whilst well represented within the Police it is noticeable that members of the legal profession are well reprsented - Janet Paraskeva, the Law Society's Chief Executive Officer, also a publicly self declared lesbian and is also a Common Purpose graduate and there are many and increasing numbers in the law and enforcement professions. She is a non executive Director of the Serious Organised Crime Agency along with Sir Roger Wheeler - Director of the mercenary quasi MOD outfit Aegis who are well set up to provide the couple of battalionas that OAP Lady Jane Dame Pauline Neville Jones thinks should be on hand to quell public disorder.
